Hi all, I’ve been on Ozempic (.25) for 4 weeks, I am due this week to titrate up to .50 but I’m hesitant. I had minimal side effects for the first 2 weeks but now they seem to be getting more pronounced. I am down 10lbs (would have been more but I overdid the Holiday eating), and would love to keep losing but these effects are dragging me down.
(I didn't have the GI problems and nausea until I hit 1mg. Everyone is different, my sister has had zero problems the entire time she's taken ozempic!) How soon after you start your medicine do your side effects start? We are upping my dose of medication. Instead of going to .5 immediately, my doctor suggested I go to .25 twice a week. I had a really hard time with side effects the first two or three weeks of the medication. I had a .25 dose on Sunday and then another .25 on Friday.
I'm sorry you went through this. I'll join & would like to here about your experience. My doctor hadn't heard of these side effects, but my pharmacy said they had others who had the same reaction. It still a newer drug , so there are probably side effects that are going to pop up in the general public that didnt during clinical trials.
